First VisitWe pride ourselves on our ability and willingness to get you an appointment very quickly if you are in urgent need. If you are getting established with us as a new patient, and have no dental emergency that requires immediate treatment, we schedule your first visit for a full mouth digital x-ray and a thorough exam. You will enter our "reception area", not waiting room, and be greeted by one of our team. We have bottled water or "coffee" options when you arrive to take with you to our private consultation room for an information gathering session. After that you will get the office tour that will reassure you of the care we take in maintaining our office and orient you to your new "dental home". Dr. Dahman likes to meet you and take the time to listen to your goal and needs. He then will do a complete evaluation of your dental health, and together with you develop a treatment plan that addresses your needs and desires to maintain or restore your dental health. Dr. Dahman will discuss all possible options you have available to achieve your objectives. If you have not seen a dentist in over a year we normally do not schedule your cleaning at the first visit. That allows Dr. Dahman to evaluate your teeth and gums to recommend the type of cleaning and amount of time needed for your cleaning visit with our hygienist. At the end of your first visit, our office manager will assist you to understand your financial options and insurance coverage. Then they will help you to schedule appointments that uses your time effectively and addresses your priorities. |
